Lauren Lauer
An artist and designer of segmented wood sculptures, objects, and lighting.
Originally from coastal Southern California, Lauer studied sculpture and designed objects at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She now lives and works in Los Angeles, and her work has been featured in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
is her studio name — a quiet variation of her initials, LL. The mark is the same as the work: a single line, looping back on itself.
Beginnings
The line was always there.
Before the Los Angeles studio — a stump, a looping form, and the patience of joining wood until it feels alive.
